Questions we hear every week
Straight answers about cabinets, pricing, timelines and how we work, from Wilmington’s cabinet showroom since 1996.
Getting started
Is the design consultation free?
Yes. The first consultation is free. We walk the space, talk through how you use the room and set a budget range before anyone draws anything. Book one here.
How does a project work, from first call to install?
Four steps: consultation, design, sourcing and installation. You see drawings and clear pricing before anything is ordered, we coordinate delivery of the cabinetry and countertops, and our own crew installs it. More on how it works.
Can I see door styles and finishes in person?
What are your showroom hours?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Saturdays by appointment. Closed Sunday. Call (910) 772-1411 to set up a Saturday visit.
How quickly will you get back to me?
We typically respond within one business day, by phone or email. For anything urgent, call (910) 772-1411.
Cabinets & brands
What cabinet brands do you carry?
Seven cabinet lines from stock to fully custom: Dura Supreme, Medallion, Mantra, JSI, Mid Continent, Covered Bridge and Quality Cabinets. For hardware and sinks we carry Häfele, Top Knobs, Atlas Homewares, Pride Decor and Nantucket Sinks. See every brand.
What's the difference between stock, semi-custom and custom cabinets?
Stock cabinets come in set sizes and finishes and arrive fastest. Semi-custom adds more sizes, modifications and finishes. Custom is built to your exact dimensions, species and finish, and takes longest. We carry lines at every level. Read the full comparison.
How much do new kitchen cabinets cost?
It depends on the size of the room, the cabinet line and the finish. The same kitchen can be priced in a stock line or a custom one. We set a budget range at the consultation and give you clear pricing before anything is ordered, so there are no surprises.
Painted or stained cabinets: which is better near the coast?
Both work. Painted doors can show a fine line where panel and frame meet as wood moves with humidity, and stain hides that and everyday wear. Many coastal kitchens pair painted perimeter cabinets with a stained island. More on painted vs. stained, or see our finish guides.
Services
Do you install the cabinets yourselves?
Yes. Our own crew installs every job; we don’t subcontract the installation. If anything needs attention later, you call us.
Do you do countertops too?
Yes. Quartz, granite, solid surface, laminate and cultured marble, matched to your cabinetry and installed by trusted local fabrication partners, timed to the cabinet install so the kitchen isn’t left half finished.
Do you only do kitchens?
No. We also do bath vanities, laundry rooms and mudrooms, and built-ins like wet bars, bookcases, home offices and entertainment centers.
Do you offer cabinet refacing?
Yes. If you’re not ready for a full replacement, we handle cabinet refacing and partial remodels. More on remodels.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A full remodel is measured in weeks, not days, and most of that time is cabinet lead time rather than work in your house. We give you a realistic schedule at the start and keep you updated if anything changes. What happens, in order.
Do you work with builders and developers?
Yes. We supply custom homes, spec home programs, townhome communities and multi-family projects of roughly 4 to 400 units, priced by plan type and released by phase. How multi-unit work runs.
